More about the application processs

Our Board of Trustees is made up of ten trustees and two student trustees. Board Trustees are elected every four years during the municipal election. When elected, they become members of our school board. They provide an important link between local communities and the school board, bringing the issues and concerns of their constituents to board discussions and decision making.

Our Trustees are accountable to our school community for the decisions made by the Board. They are available and accessible to the public to address concerns from the community with respect to Board policies and procedures. They also act as ambassadors for the system, officiating and speaking at school openings and events. Trustees are ombudspersons for students and community members, advocating a wide range of issues regarding Catholic education.

Vote for your Trustee during the municipal election 2018

Voting for your school board Trustee is important. Trustees develop and implement recommendations for educational programs, budgets, facilities and property issues, and policies and procedures that govern how we operate as a school board.

The next opportunity to vote for your Trustee will be during the municipal election in 2018.

In order to vote for an OCSB Trustee, your school support status must be listed as English Separate (ES) on the Voters' List. Your school support status is listed on the voter notification letter that is sent to all electors just before an election. You can update your school support status at any time by contacting the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC).

Find out more about how to direct your school support through MPAC.
