Keeping home and school connected

This year’s forum addressed the many challenges of school and home communication in the digital age. Together, attendees explored high and low tech solutions to improve communication between school and home. This event was great for everyone, whether they were new to social media or a seasoned online expert. Guests were encouraged to B.Y.O.D -- bring your own device. Everyone brought their tablets, smartphones and laptops to get the most out of this interactive learning experience.

Free Twitter tech support offered by students

The Director's Forum hosted a special opportunity for guests to bring their own device and register for Twitter! Those who didn't have their own device were provided with Chromebooks. Our elementary students provided free Twitter tech support to help people create a Twitter account and begin tweeting using basic principles. If you missed the forum, or didn't get a chance to meet with our students, view our Getting Connected on Twitter guide to help you get started.

Keynote speaker and communications expert

Joe Mazza, an experienced educator and communications specialist, was the forum's keynote speaker. He led an engaging and interactive presentation on ways to improve communication between school and home. Mr. Mazza currently serves as the Leadership Innovation Manager at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education. Drawing on his extensive experience as a former educator, he provided a wealth of knowledge and expertise on communication practices that work in today's digital age.
